The Longitudinal Surveys of Australian Youth (LSAY) is a study that follows young Australians over 10 years, from their mid-teens to mid-twenties, as they move through school to further study, work and beyond.

GENERATION Z: LIFE AT 22


This infographic uses the latest results from the LSAY interviews to explore how young people fared when they were 22 years old in 2022. At age 22, we see young Australians transition from study into full-time work and many are already in the job they want as a career. Results from the surveys also show young Australians are experiencing increasing rates of financial stress and probable mental illness.
