  Delphi Measurement responded to a call from a customer who saw a gap in the market for 'Big Daddy' load cells after realizing they were out of stock on the entire east coast of Australia.
 
  Queensland Rigging Hire approached Delphi to see if it was up to the challenge of producing a unique cargo unit at its Burleigh Heads factory.
 
  "The biggest we've ever done was 250 tons," said Delphi owner Mike Leonard. "But we were confident we had the tools and skills to do it.

  The unit was too large for Delphi to repair in-house, so it was sent to an independent calibration lab where it achieved Class A accuracy on the range.
